"It's
not what you play, it's what you say," says Jim Wacker, composer,
keyboardist, singer, entertainer, multi-instrumentalist, all around
great guy. There is hardly a stage in the world that he hasn't played
on, frequently with many of the great names of music.

among the famous greats, and some greats who aren't famous. He's written
and recorded endlessly at his Inwood Recording Studio, and other studios
and composed, with lyricist/singer Donna
Heffernan, Shakespeare's "As You Like It" which had a run at the off-Broadway
[which was actually ON Broadway at 78th St. with NYC's Kaleidoscope Theatre
Company. In addition he's written "thousands of classical, rock,
jazz, and other pieces."
He frequently apears
Now,
with his band, Colateral Damage, and other great talents that tend to
stop by at their shows, he is fullfilling a dream of playing just what
he wants to play. "The great classic songs, new songs, and songs
in the process of being born," he says.
For
years, he was musical director of Chubby
Checker and the Wildcats, on the Endless World Tour. He's just recorded
Gary US
Bonds' recently released critically aclaimed album Back in 20, and
Gary US Bonds Live at the Stone Pony and frequently does live shows with
